The Ayous that is used for this set is FSC certified wood and thus comes from well-managed forests. Because Ayous wood has an open cell structure, it can be perfectly thermally preserved by means of a treatment with steam or heat without using chemicals. The wood is heated up to 215° Celsius. By “baking” Thermo Ayous is more resistant to moisture, exceptionally stable and will remain maintenance free for years (Durability Class I). After Thermo Ayous wood is treated, it has a beautiful modern and warm look and changes by weathering to then gradually evenly gray (just like tropical hardwood). Would you prefer to keep the original color? Then you can possibly treat the wood with an oil for outdoor wood. The leg has an X-shape, and is made of a matt black powder-coated tubular steel frame measuring 80 mm x 80 mm. The distance between the legs is 162 cm. The width of the seating area is 26.6 cm. Mounting material and floor protectors are included in the scope of delivery.
