Our soft Owen rib fabric is made from 100% polyester thread. With a Martindale of 100,000, you don’t have to worry about scratches or loops. The rib fabric has a reinforced backing and looks very slim due to the narrow web pattern. The compact piles are sheared slightly in length, which gives the fabric a soft feel. Dabbing with a slightly damp, clean cloth will remove most stains easily. Is the stain more persistent? Let a damp cloth absorb the stain. If necessary, a final brushing with a soft brush will ensure that the rib fabric remains wonderfully soft to the touch. We generally do not recommend impregnating our upholstered furniture. However, should you wish to do so, please test the impregnation agent on an invisible area of the fabric beforehand. Impregnation is strongly discouraged for our velvets and teddy fabrics.
