The Ayous used for this set is FSC certified wood and thus comes from well-managed forests. Because Ayous wood has an open cell structure, it can be perfectly thermally preserved by means of steam or heat treatment without using chemicals. The wood is heated up to 215° Celsius. Because of the “baking”, Thermo Ayous is more resistant to moisture, exceptionally stable and will remain maintenance-free for years (Durability Class I). After Thermo Ayous wood has been thermally treated, it has a beautiful modern and warm look and changes by weather influences to gradually turn grey (just like tropical hardwood). Would you rather keep the original colour? Then you can treat the wood with an oil for outside wood. The table leg has an A-shape and is made of a matt black powder-coated steel tube frame measuring 80 mm x 80 mm. The legs are set at an angle of 74 degrees. Mounting material and floor protectors are included.
